During these days, the basics of the Wim Hof Method will be developed together with Martina Hädge. As a certified Wim Hof Method instructor, she will first teach us the theoretical basics.
The centrepiece, however, is the experience of the Wim Hof Method on our own bodies. We will come into contact with our own bodies and expose ourselves to the elements of nature. In the spirit of Wim Hof: ‘FEELING IS UNDERSTANDING.’ Out on the mountain, we want to connect with our deepest strength.
In the group, we can motivate each other and overcome our limits. We work on our mental strength, our willpower and develop a positive attitude towards life.
On the first day, Martina Hädge organises a fundamental course (5-6 hours) on breathing, mindset and cold. We will gain an in-depth knowledge of the health aspects of Wim Hof breathing and cold exposure, including the science behind it. At the end of the day, we will surpass ourselves and sit relaxed in an ice bath.
Theory:
- What is the Wim Hof Method (WHM)?
- What are the health benefits of practising the WHM (physical and mental)?
- Who is Wim Hof?
- How important is our mindset when we want to achieve something?
Practice:
- approx. 45 min breathing exercises with explanation, guidance, debriefing
- Preparation for the ice bath (individual ice bath)
- Photos are taken during the ice bath and made available for private use
- Time for reflection and questions
Everything that is taught on this day can be immediately applied independently in everyday life.
On the second day, we hike together with Martina to a wonderful mountain lake - the Madleinsee at 2437 metres above sea level. The hike takes about half an hour. A taxi takes us to the starting point of the hike. Once we arrive at the lake, a healthy brunch awaits us, prepared for us by our three-toque chef Andi Spitzer. And then the time has come: we go ice swimming together in this high alpine setting :-)
